70 MHz - fandt ikke et bedre sted

Indlæg af OZ0J »

The national association of Icelandic Radio Amateurs, ÍRA, is pleased to announce that as of October 9, 2018 access to the 70 MHz band has been extended to 70.250 MHz. Also, instead of one year, applicants are now granted a two year license.

Frequency privileges, when first granted on February 19, 2010 were 70.000-70.200 MHz. This new frequency extension means that Icelandic radio amateurs can now make full use of the international calling frequency 70.200 MHz.

Access is still granted on secondary basis. Maximum bandwidth is 16 kHz and power limit is 100W. Licensees need to apply to the PTA for a special license. The experimental license on 4 meters is open to both “N” and “G” license holders.

In closing I am pleased to inform that the new beacon TF1VHF on 70.057 MHz (QRV as of May 12, 2018) is working great.
