Hej
“Ham Radio,” aka Friedrichshafen, has been canceled due to COVID-19.
They say it is “radio silence.” Organizers say it is a difficult decision.
Scheduled for June 26-28, 2020, the next one will now be June 25-27, 2021.
The German government announced no major events should be held until August 31.
This would have been the 45th annual “Messe Friedrichshafen.”
Other large events in Germany had already canceled. Christian Entsfellner,
Chairman of DARC, notes people planning to attend, vendors, and others,
are hit hard by this decision but we all look forward to keeping in contact using amateur radio.
Vendors will be having a virtual trade fair on the Ham Radio website and DARC
will have presentations on it too. The word is being passed to the vendors and others presently.
